Why wear a Buddhist amulet pendant?

The Buddhist amulet is a lucky object that has existed since the dawn of time. It can be found in different forms: a gem, a coin, a drawing, etc. But the most popular are stone amulets, also called “phra kreuang” (translating to “Buddhist amulets from Thailand”).

Initially, these lucky stones were worn by Buddhist monks as a reminder to follow the teachings of Buddha and to pay respect to former dead monks. But over time, more and more Buddhist practitioners wore them. Today, Buddhist amulet pendants are considered personal talismans for protection.
